The beautiful island of Koh Tao, along with the pristine islands of Koh Samui and Koh Phangan, are must-visit dive destinations. Located in the north of the gulf region are the popular destinations of Pattaya and the unspoiled island of Koh Chang. These locations are world famous dive destinations with access to a range of different sites to suit divers of all levels.
Many divers begin their adventures in Phuket, as some of the top Andaman Sea dive sites are within easy reach on a day trip or live-aboard. Khao Lak is fast becoming a favorite for many divers and Phi Phi Island is also a popular destination in this region with easily accessible dive sites to explore. The south-western coastal town of Krabi is the jumping off point for the enchanting Koh Lanta archipelago, as well as stunning Koh Lipe. Thailand is an amazing dive destination and there’s a lot to explore underwater in this tropical paradise.
Koh Ha and Koh Rok
This Thailand diving region is located in the southern Andaman Sea between the Phi Phi Islands and Hin Daeng – Hin Muang.
Koh Ha, which means ‘5 islands’ in the Thai language, is a tiny cluster of islets located 25 km west of Koh Lanta Island. The channels that separate the islands are over 50 metres deep and the water is usually clear with good visibility.
25 kilometres south of Koh Ha is Koh Rok, which are twin islands known as Koh Rok Nai and Koh Rok Nok and are separated by a thin 15 metre deep channel. All these islands are situated within the Mu Koh Lanta National Marine Park and are uninhabited, boasting stunning unspoiled beaches. The diving at Koh Rok is on a coral reef, one of the prettiest and well-preserved for diving in Thailand.
Diving in Koh Phi Phi
In a land of beautiful scenery, Koh Phi Phi radiates at the top of the pile. Explore glistening waters rich with life and wonder at the magnificent limestone formations. Koh Phi Phi is a place to explore white sand beaches, beautiful coves and bays as well as a range of dive sites. The island is surrounded by national marine park and dive sites are characterized by rugged, coral adorned limestone walls. Vivid soft corals and gorgonian fans are a highlight here combined with colorful shallow coral gardens to explore.
Diving in Koh Lipe
Koh Lipe is a small island on the border of the Tarutao National Marine Park, close to the Malaysian border. Picture postcard white sand beaches, tropical palm trees and warm aquamarine waters make this an idyllic island destination. With an estimated 25% of the world’s tropical fish species being found here along with dugongs, dolphins, 3 species of turtle, minke and sperm whales, Koh Lipe is as mesmerising underwater as it is on land.
Diving in Anambas
Anambas Islands is a cluster of islands that is part of the Riau Archipelago of Indonesia located at the South China Sea between Natuna Islands and Singapore. Diving in Anambas become popular due to its unspoiled corals and crystal clear waters that is home to a healthy and colorful marine life.

Maldivian coral reefs are home to the richest diversity in the region and are the seventh largest on the globe, accounting for 5% of the world’s reef area. The islands have become one of the most famous diving locations with unique coral reef formations and a great diversity of marine species with visibility throughout the year.
